cXm Professionals Industry Newsletter and EDP Community Update

President’s Message

Welcome to the July issue of the cXm Professionals Association Newsletter.
This month marks another exciting step forward as we continue expanding the educational resources, professional community, and programs supporting customer communications professionals. Over the past several months, we’ve welcomed new members, recognized another Electronic Document Professional (EDP), Audrey Cahais, EDP, expanded our educational programming, and finalized plans for our customer communications educational track at PRINTING United Expo this September.
Our mission remains simple: provide practical education for professionals across print, mail, digital communications, communications experience management, and the technologies that bring them together. Through webinars, networking events, certifications, articles, and conference education, we are committed to helping our community learn, connect, and grow.
I encourage you to join us next Wednesday for Joanne Gore’s educational webinar, The AI Elephant in the Room: How AI Slop is Destroying Your Bottom Line – One Bite at a Time, and connect with fellow professionals during our monthly networking event hosted by Jonathan Malone-McGrew, EDP.
Thank you for your continued support, and I hope you enjoy this month’s issue.

Advancing CCM and CXM together,
Scott Mulkey, M-EDP

Organizations often struggle to adopt emerging communication channels because the underlying communications ecosystem was not designed to support them.
Common symptoms include:
  • Fragmented content
  • Duplicate content repositories
  • Duplicated business rules
  • Channel-specific workflows
  • Disconnected technologies
  • Legacy operating models …
Continue reading to learn how organizations can:
  • Build a stronger communications foundation
  • Prepare for AI and emerging communication channels
  • Modernize without creating new silos
