The Customer Communications Industry Is Thriving at PRINTING United!

In a year of change and transformation for our trade association, there were many unknowns heading into this year’s expo — but the results exceeded every expectation.

PRINTING United reminded us of the vibrant and resilient nature of our industry.
Our educational committee and panel moderators delivered an outstanding lineup of sessions — thoughtfully curating topics, selecting expert panelists, and sharing insights that truly resonated with attendees.

Introducing cXm Professionals to PRINTING United
During our opening session, we proudly introduced cXm Professionals to the Printing United community and announced our Association Founding Sponsors, whose support makes our educational programming possible:

While we are shifting toward virtual programming, the EDP Commission took this opportunity to celebrate in person — recognizing the EDP Class of 2025, EDP Recertifications, and our three EDP Lifetime Achievement recipients.

Insights from Glen Swyers – Today’s Print & Mail Landscape
Glen Swyers of The Imagine Group opened the event with a compelling look at today’s print and mail landscape. He demonstrated how print communications continue to outperform digital channels in emotional impact, recall, and engagement.

His data-driven insights revealed that integrated communication strategies — combining print and digital — can boost response rates by up to 40%, proving that customer experience journey mapping works best when both channels work together.

Panel Discussions Highlights on Customer Communications
Our educational sessions were well attended, drawing strong engagement from attendees eager to learn.

The top sessions — “Practical AI for Omnichannel Output” and “Mail Prep: Modern Tool Solutions for Production Operations” — each attracted nearly 200 end-users.

A live poll revealed that every printer in attendance offers mailing services — and most are eager to advance their operations and expand their communication product offerings.

AI, a hot topic on the show floor, was also notable in our panel discussions on Accessibility and Future-Proofing Workflows. The conversation has matured beyond curiosity, evolving into strategic and technical discussions around solution design, use case targeting, architecture, data management, security safeguards, accessibility, and workflow optimization for print and service providers alike.

Inspiring Engagement. Creating Connections. Driving Growth.
The panel discussions and audience engagement at PRINTING United confirmed what we already knew — our community is vibrant, knowledgeable, and ready to shape the future of customer communications.

From first-time panelists to M-EDP industry professionals, every voice contributed to conversations that reminded us why knowledge sharing, mentorship, and professional connection are at the heart of cXm Professionals.
